| 🚢 TwinShip Innovation Spotlight: Advanced VesselAI Digital Platform We're excited to share Innovation 1 of the TwinShip project, the Advanced VesselAI Digital Platform, an open-source solution driving sector-wide collaboration and maritime innovation. 🔍 Current Challenge: The maritime industry largely relies on proprietary digital platforms, restricting access to external R&D and limiting data sharing. This creates barriers for AI/ML validation and slows innovation across the sector. 🚀 TwinShip’s Breakthrough: By building on the VesselAI H2020 project, TwinShip is integrating an open, federated, and secure platform into its Digital Twin (DT) and Decision Support System (DSS) framework. Key features include: ✅ Large-scale data processing ✅ Federated data sharing with encryption ✅ Semantic interoperability via shared vocabularies and ontologies Already running at Institute of Communication and Computer Systems-NTUA, Athens, with expansion to UiT- The Arctic University of Norway, Tromsø underway, this platform enables trusted, scalable collaboration among academia, industry, and research, all while ensuring robust data protection and backup strategies. |
