| National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) is the oldest technical university in Greece covering all engineering disciplines. NTUA is involved as prime or major contractor in national and international basic and applied research projects funded by companies in the private sector and authorities of the public sector. Furthermore, its participation in competitive, EU-funded research projects is very satisfactory, while the pertinent cash inflow increased by about 50% over the last three years. School of Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering (SNAME) serves very well this unique engineering discipline in Greece. Among other future areas of excellence in research the following are identified: energy and the environment, marine renewable energy, green ships. |
